Facilities & Service
Since its opening in 2006, Saoirse Women’s Refuge has provided help and support almost 400 women and children escaping Domestic Violence.
The refuge has 6 self-contained family units, each with sleeping quarters,
dining and kitchen areas, laundry facilities and own shower and toilet. It also has a children’s playroom, a communal kitchen / living room, and a private support room. Upon arrival, each resident is settled into their room, assigned a key-worker who will help with advice and practical information on legal, financial, and other matters. Our Childcare staff work with the resident children around their experiences of Domestic Violence.
We accept referrals from single women as well as families at any time day or night, regardless of race, colour, creed, sexual orientation, age, class or Status.
